Our Story

Family owned in the valley for over a hundred years.

White House Foods has been family owned in Winchester, Virginia since 1908.

How It Started

It started with the Armstrong family and one good idea.

In 1908 the Armstrong family organized the National Fruit Product Company and began bottling vinegar for American families. In 1918 the plant opened in Winchester, Virginia, right beside the apple orchards of the Shenandoah Valley, and the company started making apple products close to the source.

Apple sauce, apple butter, and jelly followed, and the White House name became a fixture in pantries across the country. It has stayed a family run business ever since.
