Old Fashioned Apple Turnovers

Prepare  refrigerated pie crust by removing from package and cutting into four squares. Fill center of square with White House Scalloped Apples. Bring corners of the dough to the top of the apples and seal firmly. Bake 25 minutes at 375°F.
Sauce for Turnovers:
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups water
1 tbsp. corn syrup
1 tbsp. flour
1/4 cup of butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Bring to a boil and remove from stove. Pour over apples and continue baking for 20 minutes.

*Caution HOT*

Carefully remove from the oven and leave it to cool for 5 minutes. Sprinkle powdered sugar as needed for decor.

    Thank you for your recipes, but
    just letting you know I don’t follow ANY recipe that calls for corn syrup or high fructose corn syrup.
    I’m sure many people DO, so for them, this recipe is great, I’m sure. But I know many people who DON’T.

    I use recipes & just omit high fructose corn syrup & add little more sweetener of some kind, like agave syrup.
