Tangy vs. Smokey Barbeque Sauce

We tested both of these recipes out using White House Foods® products and we can not choose a favorite!
The Tangy recipe using White House Foods® Signature Apple Cider Vinegar while the Smokey calls for our Classic Applesauce!

White House Foods® Tangy Barbeque Sauce
What you'll need:
- 3 cups of White House Foods® apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons garlic granules
- 2 teaspoons onion granules
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1/3 cup of ketchup
How to make:

Mix the White House Foods® apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and salt in a pot and bring to a boil.
- Once the mixture is boiling, add in the rest of the ingredients.

Let the mixture simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.

Cool and serve.
White House Foods® Smokey Apple Barbeque Sauce
What you'll need:

1 and 1/2 cups of White House Foods® apple sauce. We used Natural Plus, but you could also use original.

1/2 cup and 1 tablespoon of White House Foods® apple cider vinegar

3 teaspoons of garlic powder

1 and1/2 teaspoons of onion powder

1 cup of ketchup

3/4 teaspoon of liquid smoke

3 teaspoon of soy sauce

ground black pepper to taste
How to make:

Mix all ingredients together in a pot and heat on stove at medium heat.
- Let the mixture simmer for about an hour. Stir occasionally.
- After an hour, remove from heat.
TIP: Store the sauce in clean, White House Foods® applesauce/butter jars with lid on tight in the refrigerator.
